Broadest use of technologies I’ve seen in a mini air purifier.
Sometimes I can see that someone has placed a lot of pride and their own personality in their work in combination with having a sense of the technology they’re pursuing. The failure of most of these mini purifiers is they try to brute force filter the air particles and rely only on a hepa filter with a fan. The scale doesn’t work. This Arint device is using a couple different technologies, some of which they haven’t called out in the listing, to get around that issue. I’ll try to explain some of the how and why, but just to be clear, the fan speed is very slow which will concern people, but I do detect the freshness coming from the device.Basics first. It runs off the 1200mAh battery power which you charge with USB-C. It has 3 settings, each has an led color glow associated with each speed. The battery should take 1.5hrs to fully charge and will last up to 8hrs depending on the speed chosen. The filter cartridge is accessed through the bottom (I found a slot and pushed up with my thumb). I can see the pre-screen does have active carbon adhered to it. Behind that I can see a hepa layer. That’s pretty common air purifier technology. However, the blank center that would usually exist in a circular filter, they’ve capped on end and filled it with alkali beads and placed a sieve on the end towards the fan. If you’re unfamiliar with that technology, it’s the same used in refrigerator deodorizer devices that last for about 10years. That’s where the listing stops describing it’s air purifying functions, but if you look into the device you can see the fibers of a negative ion generator (assuming you know what to look for). People have a hard time understanding negative ion technology (frankly it starts getting into quantum physics principles), but it’s a low power way of the device extending air cleaning technology beyond just the air that can pass through the device itself. When the device is on, there’s a negative charge symbol that does appear to show it is being used. I can usually determine pretty quickly that a mini air purifier has little chance of working. That’s not the case here. The Arint U-13 has put some clever technologies to work – and from what I know of dedicated gamers (the warranty card makes that seem likely) they’ve tried to give you the best combination tool they could.

Nice Design, Great for Compact Spaces
I’m using this air purifier in a 1/2 bathroom, as I don’t see any reason to use it in the car (no pets, no smoking, no odors). I really like the design, especially the color-changing lights (see photos). It’s also quiet, as stated in the product description. I like that it’s compact and looks nice and fairly minimalist.These aren’t complaints, but I do think they’re worth dropping one star: When I was very close to the purifier, I thought I smelled something burning, and started looking around and sniffing around in a panic. Then, it dawned on me that it could be the air purifier I was smelling, so I sniffed close to the top of it. That’s the scent I was smelling. It’s not potent enough to make the whole room smell, but is detectable when your nose is close to it. Second, it loses roughly 10% charge per hour, so you will need to charge it daily if you run it all day or all night. Again, that’s not a complaint; it’s probably not necessary to run it continuously.

Portable, quiet and easy to use.
I can’t really tell if this is effective, but it definitely doesn’t hurt to run this after my dogs have been in the car for long stretches. There seems to be less “dog smell” when I get in the next day. They charge lasts a long time as well, which is unexpected and great.
