I’ve had this BP cuff for approximately two weeks. So far, I’m happy with it.I do home health, so I need durable, accurate equipment that gets used multiple times a day.I prefer manual BP cuffs for accuracy & less weight in my bag.Over the last 10-ish years, I’ve needed to replace my cuff one or more times per year, mostly because the air bladders don’t hold up.I gave up on expensive cuffs because regardless of how good the sphyg is, the air bladders all seem to be cheap, heat sealed plastic that develops holes or cracks at the seal line. I haven’t found any decent quality replacement air bladders.I chose this product primarily because it does not have a D ring, a rare and pleasant discovery.I find D rings superfluous and awkward, especially when putting a cuff on people with limited ROM/movement and/or sensitive skin, and those whose cooperation is less than optimal.I chose the option with the bigger sphyg so I can actually see it without glasses.The velcro holds securely while the cuff is inflating. It allows removal without a lot of tugging.The sphyg is heavy because it’s bigger than average, but it took less than a day to get used to. It’s comfoetable in my hand & the weight it adds to my bag is minimally significant.I’m considering buying a couple of extras now because finding a good manual cuff that does not have a D ring seems to be a challenge.The only flaw I’ve noticed so far is the embroidery on the brand tag is fraying. That doesn’t affect how the cuff works though, so it’s minor & nitpicky.

See update below!Original title “Very disappointed – no D ring – too difficult to use – poor instructions”I was anxiously awaiting my MDF sphygmomanometer and my MDF stethoscope as I am starting fasting and reversing hyperinsulinemia and wanted before and after metrics. I thought that I had searched on Amazon for sphygmomanometers with a D Ring. I researched the MDF stethoscope; it appears to be excellent value. I thought that the MDF brand would be a step above. I paid more than others to get better quality. The Calibra Pro 58 sphygmomanometer has a larger dial with some nice features, and the cuff isn’t cheap PVC. I thought that I had checked all of the boxes.How disappointing to find that it’s basically impossible to properly put the cuff on one’s self without a D-ring; the product was unusable. It’s a shame as the pressure gauge is very sleek, weighs a ton, and appears to be very nice quality. Alas I could not use it on myself…Additional note, the instructions are lacking. It’s simple text with no diagrams to show how the cuff is put on, which way to orient the tubes, where approx the appropriate artery is located, or how to apply the stethoscope properly.Two suggestions for the manufacture and seller:1) A warning in the description that there is no D ring and that it is no appropriate for self use.2) Redo your instructions with some diagrams to clarify its use.Update 6/18/2024 – Long term update==============================I love this sphygmomanometer after figuring out how to use it on myself. If one sets the cuff correctly, then one simply slides it onto the arm and inflates without having to adjust it each time. So now I conclude that a D ring isn’t necessary. I love the large meter, and the cuff is usable for self measurements. By placing the cuff appropriately and tucking the stethoscope disk under the edge, one can easily measure one’s self. Perhaps this should be in the manual, something like “Tips for Self Measurement”.Changing form 3 to 5 stars.

è un apparecchio medicale vero, funziona con stetoscopio (non incluso), ma è precisissimo e indispensabile in caso di fibrillazione atriale; con i battiti irregolari infatti gli apparecchi automatici spesso fanno letture errate. davvero ottimo, ritengo sia anche robusto e non avrete mai problemi con le pile…
