I am reviewing Fynelook Store’s Microcurrent Facial Device, with red and blue lights. This is a handheld device that is portable; I see nothing that corroborates this as being sterile. It is reusable, however, I do not see the option to replace the battery which this operates off of, so, in theory, when that battery goes bad, this is likely a throw-away. That’s expensive. My further review suggests that this device is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any medical condition; its purpose is cosmetic only, rather than curing. I am hopeful of this improving my skin’s appearance; to aid in cosmetic toning, temporary lifting, and improving my skin’s appearance – but I see no immediate results. Now there are many printed contraindications that I received with this, instructing not to use if having certain underlying conditions, such as diabetes; thyroid disease; high blood pressure; pregnant; eczema; rashes; psoriasis or rosacea [in the area of care]. I did not see all of such within the listing, which I think could have been documented to allow me to make an informed decision. But the listing says this is FDA “cleared.” The reader should do their own research, however, there is a difference between cleared and registered.Does this have a K number?I was not able to corroborate that.What’s a K number?A K number is the FDA identifier for devices cleared through the 510(k) process, which most non-invasive beauty and wellness devices use to claim FDA clearance. Rather large for face or neck but great for body
I’ve been able to use this for 10 days but have only used it about 2 to 3 times a week. At first I tried this on my face but the head is an odd shape (10 sided) and rather large at 2 1/2″ diameter. It is also a bit awkward with the handle being 8 inches long and the head at a very slight angle but mostly straight/flat. I also tried on my neck but it was just too bulky. But it works great for my shoulder and knees and has improved my motion in those areas. It took a couple of sessions of about 5 minutes each area, before I noticed moving better without issues. The head is very roomy for that and it even has a special setting on the handle for the body. Buttons: on/off, face, neck, body. I actually like that it has preprogrammed for each of these categories, so I don’t have to decide which lights or current I need. Although if you want to use just the lights you can. I especially like that the lowest setting has a very faint current so you can become accustomed to the odd feeling if you have never done this before. At the lowest setting it is a mild tingling, but the higher levels are more an electrical stimulation feeling being rather prickly tingling. You have three levels so the next you will feel more and the highest I still can’t handle. But you also have to use enough gel (on clean skin) to feel the full effect and they include the gel in the package, along with a charging cord and a bag for storage of the main unit. It’s all packaged in a sturdy storage box with cut-outs for all the items. So far I haven’t had to recharge the battery. It took some time the first time and now that I have used it cumulatively about half an hour, I still am not seeing that it needs a charge (the left light will flash, information in booklet).
