Probably Annoyingly Effective for Many but Not Ideal for Me
I couldn’t tolerate this for longer than one day. It is super annoying and will definitely get you to drink more water and require an increase the dose of your anxiety medication. The covers make it look less like an electronic device and like a normal coaster which I appreciate. The lights are really pretty, but I was using this at work near a window and I did not find that they caught my attention unless I worked late and there was no lo ger any light pollution in the room. To be fair, if I placed it in front of me at a slightly higher elevation instead of on my desk and off to my right, the lights only mode probably would have worked just fine but the window is directly behind my monitors and there was no elevated desk space for me to do this.

Horrible..it’s hard to stop it once started. If you want to make any changes it will not do it but instead ask for sync the data. It is so hard to customized. Stupid app and product design.

Working great for a loved one with dementia.
This company has responded and communicated well,when the first coaster did not work correctly. They replaced it and checked in with me a couple times. The second one is now working correctly and my loved one with dementia is now drinking some water every half hour. I have been in contact with our local Aging & Disability resource Center to highly recommend this device to help others work on staying more hydrated.Update… plugged in the coaster to charge it. It has a green light on and will not respond. I deleted the app on my phone, loaded it up on my iPad and still no response. Wrote the company and waiting for a response.The company just contacted me and told me to hold the button down for 5 seconds and then plug in for 5 seconds and detach. This will get it out of sleep mode and it worked. Even though this has been a bit frustrating the company worked hard to fix the problem and now my loved one is hydrating again.

Finally!
I finally found something that didn’t cost an arm and a leg and I didn’t need to buy a new $50 cup! I use to have this little light that had a rubber casket so you could attach it to various cups and it would flash once an hour, but I lost it years ago! Found it again on Amazon but it was like $40! Uh, no!This coaster is great! Not only is it non-expensive, but it has more functions than that little light I use to have! I’m not using this for an actual coaster, I’m just sitting it on the side of my desk, but it’s doing what I need it to do, reminding me to drink! I love how it lights up when your reminder comes on. You can change the colors too! Some folks complain about the voice, but I just turn it down low and it doesn’t bother me.I love how you can add other types of reminders! I set one to stretch, two to walk, and three others to take my pills as I’m currently getting over pneumonia. I think the limit is 6 of those; I wish I could add a few more! The app is pretty easy to use and set all this up. You can even change the time between reminders of drinking.I think the price definitely makes up for any little quirks that folks might not like.

Good idea
Good idea, but difficult to change settings. Can’t get the chime to shut off even though I am clicking the appropriate choice. Would like to stop the hourly announcements of time but again, seems to ignore my command on the app. Not sure I would buy again.

So much more than a hydration coaster!
This is so much more than a hydration coaster! I expected 1 cover (white with flowers) but was pleasantly surprised to see that it came with 2 different ones which you can switch between, if you want. You need to download an app to use it – there you can control and customize it’s many functions. And there are a lot of functions. You can use it to track water usage, indeed. But you can also use it as an alarm clock and reminder tool. You can set it to verbally remind you to take medicine, get ready for a meeting or appointment, get up to move around, etc. It “speaks” fairly loud even on the lowest volume setting, but it can be set to beep, play a tone or even be muted. It can flash colored lights (that you can set up) as a reminder too. I haven’t fully explored the details on how to do everything yet, but I am optimistic it can help me with multiple things throughout my day.

Good for reminder only, it will beep and you will drink water. Not so great in adding data that you actually drink water. Kind of ok.
