I got this device at the recommendation of a family member who uses it as a tool for her recovery from knee replacements on both knees. I have an ACL and meniscus injury that have required multiple surgeries. I use this device on days I can’t do strength training and when I’m on travel and can’t use my compression boots (for swelling). It is effective as dissipating knee pain and I’ve noticed it helps with swelling. My PT has me on a plan to strengthen my glutes and hip stabilizing muscles which apparently don’t activate well. I’m going to purchase the motiv back/glute pads to see if they can support glute activation and also help strengthen my lower back.I haven’t had any issues with the app whatsoever.My only wish is that this product be sold in twos. I don’t have an hour to use on both knees. It would be so much easier if I could do both knees at once for a total of 30 min and I’m sure I’ll feel the same about the back pads.Final note – I recommend purchasing a larger bottle of the conductive gel (different brand). The Motiv tube doesn’t last long.

Easy to use; immediate results
Needed help for knees that have endured years of tennis and running. Plus, my right knee suffered a torn ACL from skiing, and pain from arthritis.Set up was a breeze, with the easy to follow instructions. The first time I used it was after playing tennis three out of four days. The muscle stimulation helped my knee and quads to recover quickly.I’ve been able to get up from a chair much easier, with less “creaking” from my right knee.Was surprised how relaxing it felt, even when the muscles are being stimulated during the 30 minute session.I hope they develop a device to help my traps and rhomboid muscles.Would highly recommend this. I’ve added a video (without the wrap) to show how the quad muscles are stimulated. The still photo shows what it should look like with the Velcro wrap.

Cheap electrodes, no knee wrap.
You get two plastic electrode sheets—one for each knee— and a single module that connects to one electrode at a time (meaning that one treatment on both legs takes a full hour). The electrode sheets do not stay put on your skin very well regardless of how much/little gel you use. The device apparently used to come with a fabric knee wrap to keep the electrode sheets in place. They no longer include a wrap.

I love this product. It is packaged very professionally and everything is labeled so assembling is easy. Unlike a tens unit, Motive stimulates the quadricep muscle around the knee. I had knee surgery and lost some muscle after the initial injury and post op. I used Motive post op and saw a significant decrease in pain and an increase in the strength of my quadricep muscle!! Not being tethered by annoying wires makes it so nice! The app is awesome because I can monitor my progress as I go along!! Highly recommend this product!! A+

Don’t think twice, get your life back
I wasn’t able to walk or get up the stairs for weeks after having two knee injuries, one on both knees. It’s only been a few days of use and I am walking without support and getting up the stairs. This thing works. App was super easy to set up. All around an incredible tool for knee recovery.
