Easy to use and store, optional app can track trends
My grandma lives with me, and we have home health visiting. She hates having her blood pressure taken on her arm, so I ordered this OMRON “Gold Wireless Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor for Home Use – #1 Doctor & Pharmacist Recommended Brand – Clinically Validated – Connect App,” so that we can use it to take her blood pressure comfortably at home.It has two different users for tracking purposes, selected by toggling a switch on the bottom of the monitor. It’s very easy to use, but since it inflates slowly, sometimes it doesn’t seem like it’s working at first. So far I haven’t had to change the battery. It seems to last for a while, since the use is intermittent.It can be used with or without the app. The app is used for different OMRON brand products. I did download the app, and while it’s nice to have the memory of past blood pressures, it’s not necessary in order to use this blood pressure monitor.It seem to take a fairly accurate blood pressure reading. I love how lightweight and portable it is, and how it’s easy to put back in the plastic case between readings. I wanted to pay a little more for a brand I could trust, so I think the value is good for the brand.

Accurate and Easy to Use
I’m glad I went the extra bucks and stuck with a well-known like Omron. It is easy to use, accurate and quiet; noiseless actually. The “Two User” record keeping is very handy, but this is also my only complaint, the slide-switch is in a dumb location on the side, lower, somewhat under the wrist strap, and is pretty small. Aside from that, it is a perfect unit.

Great product for measuring blood pressure
This brand is one of the most reliable for blood pressure readings, but I would bring it to the doctors office just in case it might be a few mercury‘s off. It’s nice that it can connect to an app, but it doesn’t necessarily need it.Hands down would get again for family or friends. One of the best recommended brands however it is a little bit pricey.

Big Fit, Small Footprint: The Fitbit-Friendly BP Monitor
Design and Physical FitThe design of this monitor is a bit of a mixed bag regarding fit. While I don’t have a tiny wrist, the cuff just barely fits me—it seems to be specifically designed for larger wrists. This is an important consideration; if you have very small wrists, you may struggle to get a secure reading, but for most, the build is solid. On the plus side, the unit is impressively small and portable. It comes with a high-quality, durable case that makes it very easy to toss into your luggage for travel without worrying about damage.App Performance and ConnectivityThe technology side of this device is where it truly shines, despite a rocky start.Initial Setup: I found that the first-time connection with the phone app did not go smoothly. It took some patience to get everything synced up initially.Reliability: Once that first connection was established, the Bluetooth has worked perfectly and has been very reliable.Feature Set: The OMRON app itself is excellent. One of my favorite features is the ability to set reminders, so the app prompts you exactly when it’s time to take a reading.Smart Integration and Data TrackingA major benefit for those who track multiple health metrics is the Fitbit integration. The app allows you to transfer your blood pressure data directly to your Fitbit account, keeping all your stats in one place. Its portability and the strength of the OMRON app (especially the Fitbit sync) outweigh the minor connectivity hurdles. Just be aware of the cuff sizing if you are on the smaller side.

Pass, stick to traditional arm cuff device instead
Overall, hard to read, doesn’t maintain pair with phone, and is inaccurate. The screen is not backlit and requires you to look directly at it to get the reading. If you look from any other angle you see gibberish. The screen not being backlit makes it hard to read in the dark. This also doesn’t maintain the connection with the phone, therefore, the reading history aren’t updated until you manually sync, which may not even work. I found that I have to exit the app and then enter the app again and then either it updates on its own or you have to sync manually. Everything with this devices is manual – you have to manually initiate a reading from the physical device. Since it is connected to the phone, why can’t you initiate from the phone? In addition, why can’t you set intervals for when to take the measurement? Lastly; this thing is inaccurate as it doesn’t matter how tight you make it, it complains it is loose, and the placement is inconvenient unless you’re Spider-Man.I bought this for monitoring blood pressure and keeping track of it for another person. In my opinions, I am better off using the traditional arm cuff device because that is so much easier and far more accurate, and better priced.

Excellent BP monitor
Easy to use. I don’t use the app. It stores 200 total readings for 2 users on a clear screen. Time, date, easy to set. It’s validated for accuracy and it’s extremely accurate. It was tested against 2 other accurate ones.Very cool feature lets you know your arm is in the right position : the heart lights up in blue- that’s when you are in the correct position. You have 5 seconds to get your arm positioned which is plenty of time. The cuff fits well, lets you know if it was too loose, or if you moved during taking the reading. LCD is easy to read. Look straight at it and there are no overlapping numbers. I’m dyslexic and have no issue with the LCD. Great compact carrying case. Directions are clear. Excellent value for it on sale! Detailed instructions in English and French pero no en español. Por qué no? Definitely recommend. It’s very quiet, you forget it’s on. UPDATED TO NOTE: it says to put it 1/2” from inner wrist crease. But not to cover the bone that protrudes on outer wrist. I would suggest going by the bone because 1/2 ” from inner crease covers that bone on me. Do the wrist test :)Muchas gracias, OMRON!

I bought this BP monitor about a year ago and wanted to see how it performs before I write a review. Now that I’ve had it for a while, I can report that it has exceeded my expectations, considering that had bought cheaper ones in the past.My doctor was willing to indulge me and compare this one with his office BP monitor and I was very happy with the results which were comparably accurate. I noticed that some people reported that it was inaccurate which baffles me and it is possible that it may not be making proper contact with the wrist.The wrist band should always be placed snug just above the protruding wrist bone (pisiform bone). Inaccurate and erratic BP readings occur often when the wrist band is in the wrong position.This device is easy to use and, since I take my readings twice a day, I find myself replacing batteries about every 4-5 months. Not bad at all. I even contacted the company to assist in registering the warranty and they were very helpful.This was definitely worth paying a bit more for.
