This thermometer is cool!
I’m using this thermometer to remotely monitor the temperature in my wine cellar (I make wine). This allows me to switch on/off a cooler so that the temperature is constant (+/- 2 degrees F). With the WiFi connection, I can watch the temps from anywhere. I chose this model because of the remote sensor. I plan to purchase additional units and place the remote sensor into wine barrels (in a thermowell) to monitor the wine during various stages.One thing I found that others commented on was the accuracy and the ability to calibrate. I believe some folks were confused about how the calibration works. Calibrating doesn’t change the internal temperature sensor, it changes the remote probe/sensor to match whatever the internal temperature sensor is sensing, so that the remote probe reads the same as the internal sensor. If the internal sensor is one or two degrees off, then calibrating will set the remote sensor to the same one or two degrees off. I found that the sensors are about 1 or 2 degrees lower than actual temperature, as measured by other thermometers. That’s close enough for what I need and I can just adjust what I’m doing based on that small variance.

Works well but there is room for improvement
Very nice unit – looks great, and functions very well – I use this to monitor my DIY Cold Plunge remotely to ensure a consistent temperature. In my opinion, there is room for improvement:1) When using the external probe, the unit only displays temperatures in whole degrees i.e., so if the water temp is 42.6 degrees, it will display 43 degrees. I would like to see the temp display remain consistent to the tenth of a degree.2) While the calibration function is very useful and in my experience, once set, remains consistent, the calibration is done by increasing or decreasing the temperature via the dropdown menu +/- the number of degrees needing change, it would be helpful to be given the option of manually entering the either the corrected temp or manually entering the the degree change as opposed to having to scroll through a long list.3) A longer cable for the external probe & power would be very useful. Amazon does sell longer power adaptor cables however extending the external probe cable might be doable with a TS cable however I am unsure if it will affect the temp reading.4) Battery life is short – about 5 hours give or take. Expected life should be at least 24 hours during a power failure.

Great! Monitoring chest freezer in our garage
Wonderful display, easy installation, very accurate, easy to use features and reliable connectivity. We use the temperature range setting with warning notifications and random readings throughout the day. We always monitor readings morning and evening. It’s so easy. We no longer have to stress over being unaware if freezer is malfunctioning.We monitor our garage chest freezer using this device with probe (included) installed and connected to wifi. Android devices monitoring via the Tuya app is super easy-to-use. The Tuya app on our Android phones shows current temperature and a temperature history graph which is very reassuring. Tuya app also provides humidity reading from around the monitor device.We previously only checked freezer by randomly viewing power light and weekly lifting lid. Then after a family member reported losing hundreds of dollars in spoiled food monitoring the freezer power light as were doing, we sprang into action and purchased this device. Now we monitor freezer function from any internet access point or phone data using our Android devices and the Tuya app.Will buy more of these for other applications.Extremely satisfied.FANTASTIC PRODUCT!

Sleek, modern, and practically useless because of the battery life
Well built and accurate, with completely unusable battery life limitations. This hygrometer will do all the things they promise (although I still haven’t been able to get the wifi connected), but they’ll only do it for a day or two at a time.I saw the negative reviews about battery life, but I never imagined it would be sub 2-days – especially considering what the function of this product is. In what scenario are you only using it for short bursts? Who is repeatedly turning on and off a hygrometer, or alternatively charging it for hours at a time every day and a half? If that sounds like your kind of thing, this product is for you.It’s a missed opportunity because it looks and works great. Extend the battery life and it would be an A+ buy.

inaccurate and doesn’t calibrate
I bought two of these. I put the probes into the same aquarium about an inch apart. The temperature readings are different by 11. The actual aquarium temperature is 68. One sensor reads 64, the other 75. Neither would calibrate. Using the app, if you change the calibration in the settings it doesn’t change the temperature reading in the app or on the display (making it worthless). Additionally, the humidity sensors are off (despite sitting side by side): 23 vs 34. In the good news department, they were easy to set up and connect to wifi, and read consistently… just consistently wrong with no calibration. Returned them.

Has been working well for 3 years
I live in a mobile home in New England, during the winter months we have to use heat tape to keep the water supply line that comes from underground into the home (about 6 feet) from freezing. I use this (with the probe stuck inside the line insulation) to monitor and make sure the heat tape is still working (so it’s actually in use about 6 months out of the year). This has been in temps below zero Fahrenheit and has been going strong for 3 years, this winter will be its 4th year. The unit itself is under the home behind the skirting and out of direct weather, it gives good peace of mind knowing it will alert if the temp gets too low because the heat tape stops working.

Works great after easy adjustments
Easy download of app for iphone. I plan to use this for information on the inside of the house and use the info to set control ofmy AC from the phone. I had to make a significant adjust correction to the relative humidity. The correction has held and matches the reported RH now and has been good for several weeks.

Product is overall good . But battery life is really really bad. I don’t know why they have given a battery in this product . Would have been better if it was only wall outlet powered. So deducted 2 stars for very bad battery life as if battery is given it should be good and not bad . Thank you.
