Budget option. Okay for surface level (650 nm) but not deeper levels you’d need 950 nm for.
This is the least expensive red light therapy mask I’ve seen. The really good units are $300+ and much stronger and more powerful in terms of the light. I will say, if you are on a budget, this is probably equivalent to the masks in the $100 range … but if you really want to harness red light therapy’s per ported results, it’s worth spending the extra.First of all, nowhere in the ad does it mention the wavelengths of the light … this is key in terms of the effectiveness of Red Light Therapy. In the instruction manual lists it in the 600 – 700 nm range, which is fine for surface repair … sunspots, wound healing, etc.The more expensive/more powerful red light masks also go up to 900 – 1,000 nm, which stimulates mitochondria … meaning increased collagen production for skin elasticity, less wrinkles and deep penetrating repair, beyond the surface.If you want brighter looking skin … this mask should be fine to perhaps give you that result. If you want cellular-level elasticity and youthfulness, you’ll probably want to upgrade to one of the $300+ masks. I used this for two weeks … 15 minutes per night and see no difference yet in how my skin looks or feels.Having said that, evidence is anecdotal that either works for skin repair. There is some evidence which shows that for would healing, inflammation and brighter skin, Red Light Therapy may be effective, but I wouldn’t expect the fountain of youth. There are lots of conflicting studies.The mask itself isn’t great. The closer the lights are to your skin, the better … this allows them to be above the skin in places, whereas more expensive masks are more form fitting. I find the comfort is not great either. My nose feels like it’s pressed up against with the mask, making it difficult to wear for the 15 minute cycle. It certainly fits much looser than the more expensive ones.From a looks perspective, it’s quite terrifying. It would certainly double as a Halloween mask. You don’t want to wear this around your young children. The 15 minute cycle is good and bad … good in case you fall asleep with the mask on. Bad because at 600 – 700 nm, it is not likely this mask is going to accomplish much in 15 minutes given how low the light level is.Overall, for a budget option … it’s not a terrible gamble. However, despite having over 200 LEDs (so they claim) the mask it not very bright. I have tried more expensive ones and the lights are so bright you can barely look at them when the mask is on. This one is like a light up Halloween mask. However you won’t find cheaper. I hope my pictures and honest review, after actually having used the product for a few weeks, were helpful to you.

Easy to Wear
I have wanted to try one of these red light masks. My mom has used red light therapy with success for joint issues. I liked this mask had different color settings so I decided to try it.The mask did have a slight chemical smell when coming out of the box. Since this goes on your face, and close to your nose, I decided to air in out a day before using.I was little nervous how this would feel so close to my face and eyes. This mask keeps the light away from the eyes which I appreciate. The mask is also more comfortable then I thought to wear. I was worried I would have to lay down and not be able to do anything when I wore it. After wearing it the first time and getting used to how it felt, I was able to move around while wearing the mask, almost forgetting it was there. The mask did not move while I moved around which I was concerned about because I wanted to keep it in place for safety.I liked the ability to change the color settings. there are 7 different colors settings. Each color is suppose to reach a different level in your skin. You can change the color by pressing one simple button. The mask stays on for 15 minutes and has an auto shut off feature. I appreciate this feature as well since if I decide to use this laying down and relaxing or up doing chores on a busy day, I am the type that loses track of time so out shut off is appreciated.This mask is wireless which is great. The mask recharges with a cable. I was able to use it 4 times before having to charge it again. I will probably charge it after each use in the future just to make sure I keep it charged but it is nice to know you can use it 4 times without charging is needed.I have only had this a short time so I have not seen long term effects. I will update my review after a few months if I see changes. For the cost of $35.99 at the time I am reviewing, I think this is a good value if you want to try this and see if it works for you. It is packaged nicely so it would make for a great gift too.
