First thing I have to say is- this thing works great and actually humidifies your room! The sensor is also spot on in comparison to an air quality sensor that I use in our room.I was a bit skeptical at first for this evaporative humidifier but the functionality of this humidifier is top notch. Set up is easy if you want to connect it to your phone app and it’s quite intuitive. I would recommend it. It is very quiet. I’ll leave it on all day and hardly notice it. It is a slight faint of white noise in the background. The app provides good insight and control of humidity functions and control of the unit.For the one to three star reviews claiming the water tank getting dirty it is quite a ridiculous review because you can’t expect the tank to stay clean since there is air circulating through the tank and likely the dust in your house is likely getting into the water, I’m just saying. 1+ about this humidifier is that the filter is washable.With that in mind, the tank is very easy to clean since it is a wide opening, and you can easily sponge / rinse it out to clean out any dust or debris that might make its way into the reservoir.This humidifieris quiet and does its intended job very well in addition to being quiet and getting the humidity level to where you want it to be. I would say this is a great buy if you’re looking for a humidifier that works well and it’s quiet. Definitely a must have for dry winters!

love this unit! Best Humidifier and was easy to clean!
I used it this past winter in MN for 3 months as an assist to my furnace humidifier thats just air flow one, and this worked great and did most of the work! My only complaint is that I wish the bucket/tank was bigger then it would be like set it and forget it for a month! I got by with 3-7 days with a full tank but depended how cold it was. Cleaning it is awesome! I have dealt with cleaning gross humidifiers with bacteria growth/slimy etc, especially the cool mist ones that get dirty in like a week and this is a worth while upgrade!! Since it pumps water up to the top of the filter to wet the filter every so often instead of the filter sitting in the water it’s way more effective and the filter doesn’t get gross. This also enables it to dry out if no longer needed, and when it’s out of water it keeps the fan going to dry the filter and the bucket which also prevents bacteria growth! It does such a great job, easy to clean, and you can wash the filter in the washing machine!! I use soften water in it and the filter still got some white mineral deposit build up but after 1 month, I rinsed it good just to see how well it would come out and came right out, the filter didn’t smell either, neither did the water tank. The water tank is so easy to clean, no weird hard to reach spots either can you can get at all of it except for what’s in the stem but it comes out and parts of it come off easily so you can clean it. My only feedback is I wish it was just a straw that went down into the water for even easier cleaning. But next winter I’m going to set it keep adding water and then clean it at the end of the season before putting it away. The app is nice too let me know when water level was getting low, everything on the display is great too and easy to read. We had it in the living room behind us and I just turned it to the quiet setting while we watched TV and could not hear it!

REQUIRES ESP to operate
I don’t understand why ZERO stars are not an option. After much research this looked like the device I needed. However, it appears it is meant only for those with ESP!It started simply by trying to get it to operate. The doc says simply “Remove the upper body!” I was looking for a clip or a button to push to separate the upper body from the remainder. After poking around, I found this was just a friction fit and only friction held the pieces together. After tackling that simple problem, I filled the device as directed. I tried to turn it on by pushing the “Start” button. Nothing happened. I pushed it and held it longer. Still no results. Being frustrated, I began trying the other buttons to try to determine whether or not I had a defective device or whether I just had not found the right sequence. THERE WAS NO SIGNIFICANT DOCUMENTATION to explain what I might be doing wrong. I’m not sure what I did, but it finally started working. After turning the device off and on several times thereafter, I could never duplicate the sequence required for operation. However, in each case, I finally was able to start the device again.I thought I might have better luck operating the device using Alexa. The doc said I could download the app from Google or Apple. I tried with a Samsung cell phone and the Play Store, but could not find the app. Since the doc said I could use the device with Alexa, I tried to get the app on Amazon. No luck!Horror of all horrors, I thought I would try a chat session with Dreo tech support. They matched every expectation of trying to solve problems in chat sessions. First, there were the delays in connecting with the rep. Then, there were multiple transfers to the next higher level of support each with the typical delays. When dealing with a rep that was willing to try to help, I was informed the device would NOT WORK ON A FIRE TABLET. After trying (and failing) to load the Dreo app on a google device, the rep informed me that the device was no longer supported on Google. When I questioned the response, I was told it will WORK ON A FIRE TABLET. When telling the rep of the earlier “NOT WORKING ON A TABLET” he said not on old tablet. When asking what he considered old, he said about five years, but did not provide a specific release level.If you want to use the device in manual mode with mysterious functionality, this might work for you. However, since the documentation is definitely below the minimum required level, since no specs are provide on what devices and release levels are required to provide remote operation, and since tech support does not even understand their own products, I wish I could give it ZERO STARS!
