Affordable Beauty Device That’s Easy to Use and Painless
I ordered the Kiss New York Glownic 27 because I was interested in its claims to boost serum absorption and help tighten and lift facial muscles. Overall, it’s an easy-to-use, painless device with a few drawbacks—mainly the lack of visible results so far and the short auto shut-off time.Ease of use:The device is very straightforward, with just two buttons. A long press on the top button powers it on or off. The top button controls the serum absorption mode, while the bottom button controls the tightening/lifting mode, and both buttons are clearly marked with symbols. The head lights up blue for serum absorption and red for tightening, which makes it easy to see which mode you’re using.Each mode starts at level 1, and repeated presses cycle through levels 1–3. The light flashes faster at higher intensities, which is a helpful visual cue.Comfort:This device is completely painless for me. Even at the highest level, I don’t feel discomfort. The only sensation I notice is a mild electrical tingling on level 3 of the tightening/lifting mode. I did get a stronger “rubber band”–like zap once when I switched modes while the device was still touching my cheek, which startled me more than anything—so I’d recommend lifting it off your skin before switching modes.Results (so far):I’ve been using it consistently (about 5 times a week) for two weeks. I think it may be helping my serums absorb better and keep my skin hydrated longer, but I haven’t noticed a visible tightening or lifting effect yet. That said, it hasn’t been very long, and I’m also not using Kiss New York’s Vita-Collagen serum, which they recommend for use with the red light function. I plan to try it in the future.Minor downside:Both modes automatically shut off after 2 minutes. If you want to continue—especially if you plan to use it on your neck—you have to turn the device back on, select the mode again, and reset the intensity. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it does interrupt the routine.Overall:This is a portable, rechargeable, and painless beauty device that’s very beginner-friendly. It doesn’t offer as many features as the similar, higher-end K-beauty device, but at $79.99 (Jan 2026), it’s a much more affordable option. While I haven’t seen dramatic results yet, everyone’s skin responds differently, and with more time (and possibly the matching serum), it may deliver better results. If you’re curious and have the budget, it’s worth trying.

A cool device that works well!
I’ve been using this in the morning and at night before bed for the last several days, and I’m impressed with this cool little device.I have never used anything like this before, so I didn’t know what to expect, but I’ve been testing it, and it really seems to work well with noticeable results in the absorption of my serums and moisturizer.It has 2 modes, the blue mode and the red mode. I’ve been using the blue one at night, and the red one in the morning, and I use different serums at these times as well.One evening, I used this after I added my moisturizer because the one that I use leaves a thin layer on my face that I can still feel the next morning when I rinse my face. I used this device on the blue mode after adding the moisturizer, and the next morning when I felt my face, there was no film residue on my skin at all, it was just soft and smooth to the touch! That was enough proof for me that this does what it claims, and I love not having the residue on my skin.So I’ve been using this after I apply my serum, then again after I apply my moisturizer.I have found that both the blue and the red deliver the same electrical current feeling when I’m using this.The directions say to put the serum on half of the face and use the device on that side until there is a beep, then apply serum to the other side of the face and use it until it turns off. However, I need about 30-45 seconds to apply the serum to my skin before I am able to use this for the other side, so I’ve been using it until it beeps, then I turn it off, apply the serum to the other side of my face, and turn it back on. It’s a simple thing to do and doesn’t bother me at all.I love that this is so comfortable and easy to use, and I really love knowing that I am getting as much benefit as possible from my beauty products.I have recently discovered this company, Kiss New York, and I have liked all the products that I’ve tried so far. I’ve found that everything is good quality and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. They are offering serums meant to go with this device, but they are not out yet. I have one on order, and it looks like it’s coming at the end of December. I’m interested in trying this with their serums and seeing what the results will be.At the moment, the serums I am using with this are Caudalie Premier The Serum, Iki Nihon (day), and Iki Iziumi (night), and I feel a nice tingle and have experienced good absorption with all of them.At the time of this review, the price is $79.99, and it looks like a standard price for a device like this. I think this device is worth investing in to help with skin anti-aging.

No noticeable change
I wish I had another device like this to compare it to, but I don’t, so this review comes from the perspective of someone who is new to using any type of device like this. At first I didn’t even think it worked. It looked to me like it was just a flashing light and I felt nothing when I put it on my skin. This is because you have to use a serum or some type of skincare product with it in order for it to work. Otherwise you feel nothing, no zaps. If you use a serum or some type of product that absorbs quickly, it will run dry and then you don’t feel the zaps anymore either. That’s what happened when I first tried it with snail mucin. I only felt the zaps for the first 15-15 seconds or so, then nothing. I’ve found that using a light to medium weight lotion has worked the best as far as feeling the most zaps. I’ve been using this regularly for a couple of weeks now. I’ve been using the blue light on just one half of my face and on the other side of my face I’ve been applying the same lotion, but just with my hand. The results on both sides looked the same in both the short and long-term. I did the same experiment with the red light on the back of my hand. No visible difference. I don’t know how long you’re supposed to keep using this device to see any results, but after a couple weeks I’m giving up on it. I thought it was supposed to help with absorption of skincare products, which I would think would have some sort of immediately result and I saw nothing. This doesn’t seem worth the minute or two it takes every day and it doesn’t seem worth the $50+ price point.
