Frequently Asked Questions
Why did it unmute? The device has a built-in Alarm that is designed to go off whenever your probe: a) passes the thresholds you set for pulse/blood oxygen b) becomes detached from your finger or c) is turned off or turned back on again. If the device is making noise after setting it to mute, ensure it is securely connected and that you’re not passing the thresholds you set. What does Check Probe mean? Your device may give you this warning for a few different reasons. First, make sure that the converter cable and the probe are firmly connected and attached to your finger. After that, check the probe to look for red light coming from the finger receptacle or foot wrap. If it still states “Check Probe” you may have a defective sensor. Can this measure overnight? Yes, but only with the 84, 75, and 72 continuous sensors. Why isn’t my device charging? First, please make sure you are using the appropriate cord to charge your PC-66L. The charging cord is USB-A to Auxiliary or 3.5mm jack. If your device is still not charging, your device or charging cord may be defective. My computer says “COM Error?” Please ensure you’re using the “Data Cord” designed for your device. This is not the same as the charging cord. Depending on your device the data cord is either USB-A to USB-BMini or USB-A to USB-C. Also, please make sure that you set the device to “Data Upload” mode in the settings menu on your PC-66L. Not fully charged? When replacing your device’s batteries, please ensure you replace all 3 batteries. Do not replace just one or two.

Great device, except for IOS software users!
I found this device well built and easy to use. Unfortunately I had to return it because data can only downloaded on old PC software version. Unfortunately all my computers and most electronics work on IOS. I would ready to buy again if an IOS compatible model weee produced.

Only continuous pulse oximeter on Amazon
I’m a retired RN and my 95 year old mom has come home on hospice care for severe mitral regurgitation. I had a finger tip “spot check” pulse oximeter, but of course she just removes as 10 or 15 minutes, so did a lot of reviewing of this item before buying and also called CMI Medical.This is the only pulse oximeter available through Amazon that has all the functions of a clinical grade pulse oximeter, at a fraction of the cost. They have several different “kits” depending on the patient and purpose for which it will be used. The kit I got is specifically packaged for continuous pulse oximetry monitoring of an adult, with the classic silicon soft fingertip sensor, and a rechargeable battery with AC adapter. It has a loud audible pulse tone, which can be simply muted with the mute button. Alarm settings are quick to set up by anyone that can navigate standard electronic settings menus, which is most people in 2020. If you are klutz with electronic gadgets, just get a little help from someone who is good with a smartphone. Alarms can be muted with the same mute button that mutes the pulse tone.So, while my mother slowly fades away, I know her O2 sat and pulse rate, any time, with a glance. That is immensely reassuring and a big relief for me and has proved very useful.It deserves better than 5 stars, but that is the best I can do.

Total lifesaver.
It saved my life. The analog portion of the display, though without numeric indications, indicated *SERIOUS* Cardiac pumping issues. That, coupled with a heart rate about 60% of normal and blood oxygen saturation @ 99% – I was breathing harder than normal – told me I had a big problem.I threw on some clothes and went to the E.R. post haste via the bus. (Was too scared to call 911 and I needed to go to a specific hospital due to various reasons.)Turns out I had a heart attack without coronary artery obstruction.

Does not work with Windows 11
I had exactly the same experience with Widows 11 as S. Toft – Johnson. The transfer of data from the monitor to a PC running Windows 11 did not work. I had even more trouble with tech support. I sent it back. A shame because the monitor worked very nicely.
