TLDR: Cordless, intuitive interface, good instructions, works well.Okay, first, a complete aside:I’m pretty sure that this ARIVEA Red Light Therapy Mask could do double duty on Halloween. When I started my testing for this review I tried it on and went into the bathroom to take a selfie (I’m horrible with selfies so I need an extra mirror). Looking at myself in the mirror, I was pretty sure that I could have done extra work on the movie “300”. The mask will make anyone look like they’re wearing a Spartan helmet.Okay, if you’re still with me, you probably want to know how this works. The mask is very easy to put on, and uses a magnetic connector for the power module. Simply attach the module and it turns on and starts the therapy session. It offers different lighting modes, which provides different benefits. Basically the different wavelengths penetrate different depths, and therefore have different effects. The mask will automatically shut off after 15 minutes. The whole setup is cordless so you can (sort of) go about your normal routine. Note that the mask does get a bit warm, but nothing uncomfortable.Value for your money is excellent, especially if you can take advantage of a coupon which seems to be frequently offered. The kit includes a USB-A to C cable, but no brick. You also don’t get any storage pouch.Overall I feel that this is far superior to my previous mask, which wasn’t cordless or as intuitive to use. I’m rating this 5 stars (excellent) and recommend this to anyone with even a passing interest in light therapy.

Wireless innovation with added eye protection
Wow! This Arivea RLT mask is definitely an upgrade from the first one I tried a few months ago, for several reasons… First, it’s wireless! You charge the little magnetic pod with the provided cable. And then you attach it to the mask itself.Second, it has eye protection. These neat little telescopic inserts to put in the mask to keep the red light away from your eyes. So you can still see during your treatment, without blinding yourself and you can also walk around and do other things, if you choose, because it’s wireless.The mask itself is very lightweight and soft. It’s very comfortable on, once you adjust the straps so that you tighten along the jawline. The only thing I wish it had is it overhead strap in order to secure it in place better but just by adjusting the fit, that should help quite a bit.Also you have multiple modes of red, purple and blue light, depending on what you are trying to achieve with your skin. So for the innovative features, the quality of construction and the freedom of movement, I absolutely give this product five stars and haven’t seen this many features in masks two to three times the cost. Truly feels like a spa experience.

Good mask, mixed feelings
The first thing that stands out about this therapy mask is that it’s flexible. This not only provides extra comfort when wearing it, but it allows for people with different sized and shapes faces to use it. It’s got a unique charging system that shows the level of charge as it goes with successive blinks in three dots. There can be no confusion when it’s done, and that’s also a plus. In order you use the mask, you simply attach the charged piece to the side where it’s out of the way. It’s magnetic, so zero effort is involved. As I have a small head measuring about 20.5 inches in circumference, and I wish there were different sizes. The one strap was not enough to keep it from slipping, especially since most of the velcro was in the air, unused. I think two straps are necessary. It’s not so much that it’s heavy, but it is large to accommodate various faces. I had half an inch of mask under my chin. The eye pieces are quite easy to add on, and they’re very soft and smooth. Adding them does make the mask protrude, though, so you have to decide which is more important to you. As you can see in the video, it turns on as soon as you attach the charger, which I don’t like. Unless it’s already on your face, you’ll be bombarded by bright lights. There is one cycle button, and I observed four modes, not three. The booklet that comes with it explains everything clearly. I wish it were a little lighter, but it’s a decent mask. Do I think it’s worth the current price point of $169.99? Not a chance!

I been using this red light mask for a few weeks now and honestly I see a difference. My skin looks brighter and some fine lines are less noticeable. The 3 modes are nice, I use the red for anti aging and blue when I feel a breakout coming. The infrared is good for deeper. Its wireless and rechargeable so I can walk around while using it, no being stuck near an outlet. The mask itself is lightweight and fits comfortable, not heavy on the face. The timer is built in so it shuts off automatically. Way cheaper than going to a medspa for light therapy. Good investment for skincare.

Fits comfortably on the face
Quite pleased with this red light mask. It fits comfortably on the face and molds nicely to the shape of your head. It also offers a very nice fit for your eyes and doesn’t make you feel like you’re staring directly at the light. It’s a bit more expensive for an everyday beauty product, but it’s honestly a good price for some of these masks, considering that many masks can go for $300 on up. The design on the front of the mask is appealing compared to a lot of different masks on the market, and because it isn’t the standard plastic style, it’s very comfortable to wear for longer periods of time. Worth the purchase, solid investment.
