I had previously purchased a dual-channel TENS unit from AUVON that saved me from the debilitating pain of nightly back spasms. this four channel unit allows me to treat not only my back, but simultaneously address the concurrent pain in my neck and shoulders, or the arthritis aches in my lower extremities — I no longer have to choose one or the other! I love that this unit comes with a longer time setting (up to 90 minutes). I now keep my dual channel at work, and the four channel unit at home. since the electrodes and lead wires are the same, I can switch seamlessly between the two units without having to peel off and restick the pads. (speaking of which: these electrode pads are *really* good, very secure grip, and really last a long time if you care for them as suggested.)what I’m most excited about with this new unit is the EMS function. while the TENS unit treats my immediate pain, I’m hoping the EMS function will help to heal injured muscles in my back, feet and knees for longer lasting relief and better overall health. I look forward to updating this review when I’ve had more time to use this feature.you really can’t go wrong with an AUVON TENS product. if you’re on the fence about trying TENS, or overwhelmed by the number of choices, look no further. this unit is fantastic for the price point — 10 out of 10 *definitely* recommend. I’m not going pretend to understand the science behind this product, but I’ve used it for a little while, and I’m comfortable speaking as to my personal experiences.It looks and works as you would expect. The unit is the size of a deck of cards, and it comes with four sets of wires, and some electrodes. The wires connect the electrodes to the unit. The electrodes stick on to your skin in a way that you have possibly experienced in a hospital or therapeutic setting. Just put a few drops of water on them and they adhere to skin nicely.Once you are hooked up, you have your choice of 24 settings for the type of treatment that you want, and then within that type, you can choose the strength of the treatment that you want. As other reviewers have mentioned, for being a small rechargeable unit, the higher settings are surprisingly powerful.So, what exactly are these treatments, and what do they do? How does it feel? The treatments work by transmitting an electrical current into your skin. The electricity stored in the unit travels through the wires into the electrodes, and into your skin. So, what’s good about that? The electricity doesn’t just go skin deep. It goes into the underlying muscles, and that’s where the magic happens.The electrical stimulation causes your muscles to have some activity. It can be just a tiny tingle, or a much stronger effect. I didn’t really entire believe that something small and rechargeable could have a big effect. However, at medium settings, the effect can be strong enough to make the muscles below the electrodes twitch, or even clench and contract.So, what’s that good for? Recently, I had one of those nasty bugs that caused me to cough so hard that I had sore muscles in my back, sides, and abdomen. I put the electrodes onto the affected areas and used a low setting. The little tingle that the electricity put into the sore muscles was very soothing, just the thing I like that I needed.It can handle other issues as well, such as keeping muscles from atrophy if they can’t be normally used. It can range from what feels like a gentle massage all the way to what feels like actually working the muscles.I ran it by my physical therapist, just to be safe, and she gave me the green light.I don’t want to promise you’ll have some sort of miracle, but I can honestly say that I am quite happy with my results so far. Just based on what I’ve experienced so far, if I tried this out at a friend’s house, I would have easily believed that this product could sell for $250-$350. Naturally, it feels to me like a bargain. I’m even willing to say that if I wasn’t one who steers clear of other people’s health (because I’m not a doctor), I’d recommend this to friends and family. I’m even considering breaking my own rule and giving one or two as a gift.So yeah, that all sounds too good to be true to me, and I’m the one who wrote it!TL; DR – I like this little gadget a lot!

Very Satisfied and Works Great for a Reasonable Price!
This TENS/EMS Unit is quite inexpensive and yet works very well. I have severe back pain issues that is exasperated by muscle spasms. I am sometimes able to reduce my spasm pain by using this TENS unit rather than having to increase my opioid or muscle relaxer medications.The only reason for not giving 5 stars is in order to choose a different Mode pattern you must scroll through all other modes rather than just simply clicking on the desired mode.

Firstly the batteries were fully charged out of package and using it up to about 8 hours total now it’s just now dropped on bar in battery indicator. I love thar you can get multiple pads plugged in the unit to treat at least 4 areas on body at once though I’ve only done two spots st a time so far. Pads are easy to apply, remove, no sticky residue and cleans easy to renew sticky. I can use them while laying in bed to liquify my tight muscles after work so when I go to sleep there’s no knots or tightness. I live it for my upper back along shoulder blades, spine, neck, outer hip where I had bursitis recently, and arthritic elbows. Allows me to stimulate muscle movement to return mobility to those areas and lessen the pain. The various settings and ability to chose two settings as well as two intensities is awesome. I can do one settings with one intensity on my shoulders while I have a different setting and intensity on my hip and put a timer to turn off in case I fall asleep. The lock feature keeps you from changing settings or intensity by accident hurting yourself.
