Finally, a bulb which is dim enough in night mode.
I have been sensitive to even very dim light after I had a very bad stroke. Finally, this is a light bulb with an amber nightlight feature which is so dim that the glow is just enough to very dimly light the room, yet is not bright enough to interfere with my sleep at all! The bulb in 20lm mode is so dim that I can not tell it it is off or on when I close my eyes. This is exactly what I needed. I have tried 50lm and 40lm bulbs which were too bright. Finally, this 20lm amber night mode bulb is dim enough such that it absolutely does not interfere with sleep. With any lampshade, it is impossible to see whether or not the 20lm mode is turned on during daylight. The 800lm (equivalent to 60 watts) mode also works very well. I really like the “flying saucer” ring for the amber 20lm setting on this light bulb.

Exactly as described
Worked exactly as expected after reading the detailed description. The dim light isn’t much more than a night light. It’s perfect for having to get up in the middle of the night for some reason and not wanting to disturb your partner. Except for the flick through the bright setting to get to the dim setting… but for the price and knowing the expectations, there’s nothing I can complain about.

These are just too dim to be a night light. Keeping because they’re nice for ambient light, but not bright enough to navigate a room by. I’m familiar with the two mode light, so that doesn’t bother me. I have some can lights that do the same thing but those have better lumen for a night light.

A true nursery bulb for middle of the night feedings
This was the 3rd bulb I tried in preparation for our newborn. Our lamp shines downward so every other red light or amber bulb was too bright and would have shone one our baby’s face while nursing. Even the ones marketed for nurseries or sleep.PLUS the warmth of the lights would never match our other existing light fixtures.This bulb was it. The dimmer version can honestly be kept on all night. It’s just enough to keep you from tripping around and you can still sit under it without having to squint.The brighter version is plenty bright and just the right warmth.If there was just an option to keep it toggled on the preferred brightness, it would get a 100% instead of a 95% – which is still an A+ in my book.
