They work!
These bulbs replaced the bright clear bulbs in my outside garage light fixtures. Last summer they had spiders and bugs. it got so bad I left them turned off. These yellow lights don’t attract bugs and still give plenty of light.

BEST BUG LIGHT BULB EVER!!!!
Three days ago, I replaced a different yellow bulb with this light bulb and immediately noticed a huge difference. It is absolutely fantastic!! My old yellow bulb almost seemed to attract bugs and my light fixture was constantly surrounded by all kinds of insects. Now with this lightbulb, there are either none or possibly just a few. This bulb does exactly what it says and I have hardly seen any bugs anywhere near my light now. I can finally stand outside and not feel like I’m in a horror film being attacked by every insect known to man. I will definitely be purchasing this item again!!

Effective yellow bug lighting
Very yellow and a bit more subdued lighting but very effective. We use them for lighting in front of our home and our garage door opener.

Almost nonexistent porch bugs now
Really works! Every year when it starts to warm up we get swarmed by moths and crane flies which inevitably wind up in the house since they’re mobbing the porch light. Swapped out to one of these bulbs a few nights ago and have only seen one crane fly since then, and the moths must just be off doing moth things because they arent on my porch anymore. Will definitely be keeping these around for the summer months, or maybe just all year round since the dimmer yellow/amber light is more relaxing than the bright white.

Installed on a 3-way motion sensor and still only get one level of brightness.
I purchased these to replace the incandescent 3-way light bulbs on my garage; hoping to save some money on the electricity. Currently, the motion sensor I am using triggers my incandescent lights to rest at the dimmest level for a long period of time (before turning completely off) and then go bright when motion is detected… I’ve always loved this feature. But no such luck with these. The sensor, apparently, can only trigger these off and on, which is a major disappointment…. I’m not sure that’s a fault of the switch or these light bulbs. I’m wondering now if a dimmable LED would work (rather than a 3-way). If anyone knows the answer, I would appreciate some feedback….That having been said, the positive is that they have decent brightness (on the bluish-white spectrum of things) and they light up the immediate area underneath very nicely. They are not quite as bright as my previous incandescents (which were 250 watts on the maximum brightness), but I was unable to find a 3-way LED that was higher than 150w. I am still pleased with the quality of light. These provide plenty of light to see while working in the evening in front of my garage, or to light up the drive area when the cars pull up, so I am not totally disappointed… Just wish these would dim after the bright level exceeds its time-out.These would be great for indoor 3-way lamps… just keep in mind that they are cool white and NOT warm white. Great value though and I am marginally satisfied with my purchase.
