Red light for saunas
I don’t have a tent to set this light up in, so I understand I’m not getting the full benefits. With that said, I think of it like this when I use mine:I’m getting some benefit, especially for skin and maybe mild muscle recovery, but I don’t expect it to hit deep joints or deliver clinical-level results. Here’s why I’m cautious about expectations:-These compact panels typically have lower output, even if they list the right wavelengths-Deep therapy usually requires high irradiance (often 50–100+ mW/cm² at the skin), which most small panels don’t consistently deliverSo when I use it, I treat it more like:-Good for skin, circulation, light soreness-Maybe helpful for general recovery-But not strong enough for deep tissue or joint issues unless I’m very close and very consistentIf I really wanted deep therapy, I’d look for a larger, higher-powered panel with verified output specs.

Best for small tent sauna, not larger sauna
I have been researching lighting options for our in-home sauna for some time and was about to purchase a red-light infrared therapy flexible strip type lighting for saunas when this came up. I decided to give this one a try because I liked the idea of not having to install it all the way around the sauna and because of the options to control the intensity of the light and that it is marketed specifically for use in saunas. The light arrived very quickly and is easy to install with the provided Velcro adhesive strips or the pop on bracket that can attach to a pole if you have the pop-up tent type of sauna. We have a cedar sauna so as of now I just used the Velcro strips provided although if those don’t stand up to the heat well, I am thinking I could easily screw in a wood dowel and use the brackets provided for a more permanent install. The size of the light ended up being a bit small for our sauna and I am still trying to decide where I want to drill a hole to run the cord through, but the light does work and so far, it has stayed attached to the wall. I took off two stars because I think this is quite expensive for what you get when compared to the flexible rope lighting, I was originally going to get, and it only works for a pretty small area of our sauna. If you had a one-person tent sauna, I could see it being a better fit but for the price I was expecting something that felt a bit sturdier and was longer in length.

Practical and Easy to Use
This red light strip came packed well inside a foam tube that kept everything safe during shipping. The strip itself uses a light aluminum frame covered by a full-length plastic shield to guard the LEDs against moisture in a sauna. The inline controller sits halfway along the power cable and proves straightforward to operate. You pick between 660nm red, 850nm infrared, or both wavelengths at the same time. Intensity adjusts through several clear levels. An adaptive connector on the cable lets you plug directly into a wall outlet or link it to certain sauna power systems.Basic clips come included for mounting the strip wherever needed. On maximum intensity the unit warms up some, but it stays far from hot enough to cause concern. The built-in timer adds a useful layer of control for session length.I run mine at 15 minutes daily and always put on protective eyewear. Red light therapy counts as a real medical treatment at home, so steady daily use matters more than sporadic long sessions. Overdoing it risks skin or eye irritation, though I have seen none so far.The price matches what the strip delivers in function and build. Overall it works exactly as intended for sauna sessions without extra complications.
