economical solution
The MagLoop Smart Ring is a nice entry-level tracker. The ring is comfortable and looks like a standard Men’s comfort band. It has a slight thickness, as you would expect. The QRing app works without needing to sign up for an account; however, when the app is running, so are your location services. Overall the tracking seems OK, but not great. Compared to my Apple Watch steps and distance are understated by the MagLoop Smart Ring. The variance is somewhere between 700 to 1000 steps, affecting distance. I feel like this is a good budget ring for someone who wants to try out a smart ring tracker without spending hundreds. I’d recommend this for the casual user looking to loosely track steps and overall health stats. My only concerns are the validity of the actual stats as well as the flimsy proprietary charging cable.
