This red light book light is quite impressive! I bought it for myself but ended up giving it to my son, who loves to stay up way too late reading (and being unable to sleep thus making the next school day morning a challenge…). I love the idea of the red light to help not disrupt the sleep cycle, a lovely timer on the light so I can ‘try’ to give him some sort of a stopping point to go ahead and go to sleep NOW. The battery holds well, clip is sturdy. It’s portable if need be. This thing is a win! BUT, it is not just red light. The first on is white light, then red, then mixed. A tad bit annoying to toggle to just red when the listing states nothing about white light….

Such a handy little light! I bought this initially for my husband to use at night when I’m trying to sleep and he’s wanting to read. I liked the idea of the red light because I thought it might make him sleepy faster and he would turn off the light altogether and we might both get to sleep. Turns out, when he’s reading with the red light, I barely notice and it doesn’t disturb me at all. The charge lasts for an entire night as my husband fell asleep with it on and it was still on the following morning, so that was at least 6 hours. It’s definitely a win for both of us.This Finezeal 670nm Red Book Light comes with a standard usb type c charger and I really appreciate that they didn’t use some weird proprietary charger that I would have trouble finding a replacement for. It took me about an hour to fully charge it initially because it arrived with no charge. You’ll know it’s charging from the red light on the side of the unit. When it turns green, it’s fully charged and ready to go.Operating it is simple. On the back of the light, there is one button. The first press of that button gives you a warm red light. A second press will give you a white light, and a third press will give you a mixture of both warm red and white light. A fourth press turns the unit off. It’s very easy and straightforward. Just clip it onto your book and adjust the bendable goose neck to where you want the light directed. It bends smoothly and stays put, holding the desired shape well. The entire unit fully stretched is about 14” long, but is foldable down to about 5” to make it more compact for travel or storage.I like the fact that it’s so compact and think it will be useful as a nightlight when we travel and stay in unfamiliar hotel rooms. I can keep the red light on without disturbing my sleep, but if I happen to wake up, I’d be able to navigate my way to the bathroom without bumping into things. I don’t go camping, but I could see this being useful for lighting if that’s your thing.The ease of operation, good quality of materials used, compact folding ability, quick charging and long battery life makes this a great value, particularly because it is useful in more ways than just as a reading light.

Very nice reading light
This light is very nice and I love being able to use it as I am reading. The battery life lasts pretty long which is really nice. I think that the color that it comes in is great. I like that it is a red light reading light that you can use so that it doesn’t hurt your night vision as you are reading this is very nice so it doesn’t wake up my up husband as he is sleeping. This is very nice and is a lot different then other lights that just blast out light vs providing a red light that allows you to be able to read and still not disturb those around you.I also like the functionality of the bending light so that I can bend it in different directions as I am reading. This make it so I don’t have to take it off as I am reading the different sides of my book. I also don’t think the value is bad for what you are getting. The price isn’t bad for a very functional light. I like this product.

Zero blue – except that it has to cycle through white every time you turn it on
I’m very disappointed with this product. No where on the list does it say that it has white LEDs. When you turn it on, it is white, press the button again and it is red. Press it a third time and both red & white LEDs come on and the fourth time it turns off. I just want a red light only. This light is completely useless for my needs. I have no idea why the listing doesn’t say anything about white LEDs.
