Someone put a lot of thought into the design
I was originally looking for a leak-proof 2-liter refrigerator juice container, but none of the ones I saw were any good. I did order a glass one, but it cracked in lukewarm soapy water. Finally, I found this well-designed safe (BPA-free) Aquafit. It’s made of hard plastic that’s thick enough to withstand accidental bangs (far better than glass would.) I wouldn’t use it for hot liquids, nor wash it in a hot dishwasher, but warm water washing should be fine.The design of this bottle is truly outstanding. The handle is an integral part of the container itself and is very strong and comfortable to grasp. The spring up push button operated cap is very convenient and leak proof, sealing the wide pour spout and covering the fold-away straw valve. Although I don’t plan on using the built in straw, that straw does provide venting to allow smooth pouring. Additionally, it comes with an alternative wide jar cap – if you wanted one. The volume scale printed on the side (metric and English) is very readable. That’s something that many other such bottles either lack or do a bad job labeling.Someone was thinking at this company when they designed this thing.

I’ll update this review when I have used it for a while. For now it’s exactly as described. I took a star away because it’s VERY flimsy thin plastic. Seems cheaply made even the markings aren’t solid in some places. If it works out well despite the cheaply made quality though I’ll give it 5 stars it’s appropriately priced and all I needed was a gallon bottle to have throughout the day. I’m just a tad disappointed by the quality. But hey you get what you pay for I suppose.

From Duct Tape Chaos to Peaceful Tea
This new jug is great. I love the locking lid, and the handle makes it easy to hold and shake up my tea without worrying about spills. I love the large measurement markings on the side, and there is zero plasticky smell.I had a 98oz jug for about six years that finally cracked and split at the top. I was literally holding it together with duct tape just to shake batches of the specialty tea I drink all day. I make about six days’ worth at a time, and it had gotten completely ridiculous and messy.I finally gave in and spent the money on this jug, which is even bigger than my old one, and it was worth it. Love at first use. I tossed the broken jug in the trash without a look back at it. Being able to make more tea at once, faster and without leaks, is a huge upgrade.

Update to my previous review
It was perfect but it took a short fall and broke after owning it for a few weeks. Not dropping something ever is near impossible. If you know you’ll never ever ever ever drop it, then it’s a great water bottle. I had the strap wrapped around my door handle in order not to forget it when I left the house. Taking it off the doorknob, it slipped from the doorknob, hit the doormat inside the house and broke open.Edit: Surprisingly, the company reached out to me without my initiation and offered a refund. That’s never happened in the history of life. I accepted and received my refund. That’s good business! I will reiterate, if you’re a more careful person, this is a great water bottle. Bumped 1 star for good business!
