For its intended use – small room with moderate air exchange, this unit is perfect. I use it in the Pacific Northwest where temps are usually in the 30s and 40s during winter. In the desert or mid-winter in cold regions it will effectively add moisture to a room but a unit with higher moisture output may be needed.Noise: on hi I measured about 48db four feet away. On medium 36 db. On low it is basically undetectable (28db which is same as background noise in the room) – however there is very little moisture being output at this level. For comparison I had to stop the measurements when the forced air heat came on, which was 42db. Subjectively, the medium fan was just a faint whirr.Design and function: Nice simple design and easy to clean and fill. I use it in a music room (about 250 sq ft or 23 sq m) to keep instruments between 45-50% RH. On automatic mode this unit does this admirably with the target set to 55%. (As many others have noted, any unit with a built in humidity sensor will overestimate the room humidity so one has to set a higher target.)Minor notes: Calling the auto mode “AI” is a bit much since it is simply turning on or off at set levels… come on!Initially I almost returned the unit since the control panel lights would not stay on beyond about 3 seconds (it wasn’t in sleep mode.) After letting the unit use up the water and enter dry mode, then unplugging it (so I could clean it) it started working correctly.In summary, I think this is an excellent humidifier for its intended use case and represents a good value.

Works well, easy to fill and clean and quiet. Control buttons are a little hard to use and the water level window is hard to read. Fortunately, the tank holds about a gallon so it’s easy to use that size jug to refill.

Quiet, Effective Humidifier — Great Performance, Minor Sensor Limitations
I purchased this humidifier several weeks ago when I came down with the flu that’s been going around. I had been using an older Vicks humidifier for years, but I recently upgraded my bedroom with a smart TV and wanted something that wouldn’t risk damaging expensive electronics.This humidifier has performed very well. When I first started using it, the thermo‑hygrometer in my room was reading about 27% humidity, and within a short time it increased to between 40% and 50%. Because this is a cool (evaporative) humidifier, the room never felt damp or clammy the way it did with my old humidifier.It is also extremely quiet—so quiet that it’s basically unnoticeable when running. There’s no white noise at all, which I really appreciate.The water reservoir is large and holds 5 quarts, allowing it to run for a long time. When I checked the humidity reading on the unit side by side with my wall‑mounted hygrometer, the readings matched at one point. However, I wouldn’t rely on the built‑in sensor for precise accuracy in a larger room, as it seems to measure only the humidity immediately around the machine. Because of this, I adjusted my settings and did not depend on the unit’s reading to control overall room humidity.The unit feels sturdy. I’ve accidentally bumped into it a couple of times, and despite another review mentioning that the top is not physically attached to the base, it never shifted or fell off. I wouldn’t be concerned about that unless someone were intentionally trying to remove it.The product description mentions up to 24 hours of runtime, which may be achievable when using scheduled programs. However, since I adjusted how I used the humidifier and let it run continuously rather than relying on the built‑in sensor, the water lasts approximately 15–18 hours. It didn’t reach the full 24 hours, but that wasn’t a concern for me.Overall, I’m very happy with this humidifier. It runs quietly, provides effective humidity without making the room feel damp, and lasts a sufficient amount of time on a full tank. Most importantly, it helped relieve my congestion and made me feel better while I was sick.

This humidifier replaces an Essick Aircare 821–000, which lasted about 10 years. I gave an extensive review on that humidifier, and it can be found here on Amazon.If you want to breathe better at night, I highly recommend this humidifier. It’s quiet, uses about 2L of water per night at 50% humidity, left on Automatic. This gives me two days between fill-ups. The air is fresh, and BEST of all, my breathing, sinuses reduced and dryness are much improved!I did an extensive review of the Moreco NS2 indoor temperature and humidity sensor. This instrument was used to verify the humidity of the humidifier. The results at 50% relative humidity reveal a +/- 3% variation between what is stated and what is actual.The construction isn’t too flimsy, however, the top portion of the humidifier, that takes care of the electronics and the humidistat could topple over, if bumped. I like the fact that its filter is washable and reusable, I’ll update again if I have more to share.

This was the best humidifier I’ve used, while it worked. I ended up returning it to Amazon for a full refund after it failed, but I would consider buying it again next winter when humidity drops very low in Prescott, AZ.What I liked most is the evaporative design. It handles hard tap water well (even with high mineral content) and doesn’t produce the “white dust” you get from ultrasonic mist humidifiers. Those mist units put minerals into the air, which I’ve found irritates my lungs and cause coughing unless you use distilled water, which gets expensive (about a gallon per night).This unit uses a simple and effective approach: a fan pulls air through a wetted filter, so only clean moisture is added to the air, not minerals. When functioning properly, it’s a much more comfortable and natural way to humidify.

This product unfortunately did not work for my sinus issues nor did I feel it made much difference for me but I like the idea of evaporative moisture so I can worry less about things in the room being damp. It does seem well made and of good quality.Their Customer service is also very good.
