If you follow beauty trends, specially k-beauty, you’ve probably seen those skin testing devices that will tell you the condition of your skin. This Purode AI powered facial device is essentially that, but smaller and designed for home use. It’s also designed to treat the skin after analysis. Just the fancy box and presentation of it is impressive, which one can only expect from a device with such sticker price. Unlike some other products in the market, it comes with a thick booklet of do’s and don’ts which is appreciated considering the type of device and its use and capabilities. Do make sure to follow the isntrecutions to prevent any unintended skin damage. Overall, this device is amazing. It’s intelligent built-in camera and AI analyze 6 skin metrics and deliver unique treatment according to the skin’s specific needs and condition. As someone who has struggled greatly with skin issues (breakouts, sunspots and discoloration, etc), this Purode device has actually helped me understand my skin better and focused my care rather than just throwing product after product at it. This device is a game-changer when it comes to caring for my skin. I am usually a complete skeptic when it comes to beauty trends and buzzy new devices, but this one has me sold so far. My routine leveled up dramatically when I started using this a couple of weeks ago, and my skin is starting to show the results already. My skin is looking plumper and more hydrated, and my glow is starting to come back. Best of all, it doesn’t really take much time at all to use every night.I have to say, the packaging had me convinced from the get-go that I was entering a whole new territory: the device is nestled like a rare gem in a sleek white box, with the instruction booklet (or rather, book) packaged discreetly underneath. I’ve never seen anything packaged so artistically and with so much care, and this gave me confidence before I even turned it on.The instruction booklet was helpful for providing basic instructions, but it really could use a more in-depth description of the many different treatment modes available; some of them were not explained at all, so I just had to trust that this device knows best.While it seems complex, though, all you really have to do is place the camera against your skin so it can analyze it and produce a detailed treatment plan. Pressing the start button again starts the routine, which moves through cleansing and hydration to firming and brightening using LEDs and microcurrents. The whole thing takes about 15 mins, and if it feels a little too stimulating or causes redness – as it did to me the first few times – you can adjust the intensity.The result is a feeling of accomplishment and being on the cutting edge of skincare – all this for someone who has never been very consistent about caring for her skin. I was a little frightened at first about using a device I knew little about until I read up on the positive things the American Society of Dermatologist and other organizations say about red and blue light therapy already agreed that red and blue light therapy are proven to improve skin condition and appearance. f feel that my skin is more hydrated and firmer. I am getting my glow back and the texture is smoother and plumper. I’ve yet to see very much action on my deep II wrinkles and my marionette lines, but with the range of treatments delivered by this humble-looking wand, I have no doubt I will see more dramatic change over time.My only very minor disappointment is that the device does not come with some sort of stand or tray, which makes it difficult to keep it handy for my bedtime routine. I don’t really want to unpack it every time I want to use it, no matter how classy the large, glossy box is, but how am I supposed to store it for easy use then?

How Do I Get the Red Light Therapy?
I got this because I wanted to try the LED light therapy without committing to those masks that cost several hundred dollars. When I opened the box and read the instructions, it was all about evaluating my skin texture, then just letting the unit do its thing. I was looking for how to use the device just for the LED light therapy but couldn’t understand how to get to that. I must be missing something? It seems like it’s all or nothing; I couldn’t figure out how to just select one of the therapies that the unit is able to do. I didn’t necessarily want to do the EMS or sonic care, just the LED. Unfortunately I couldn’t use it for what I wanted it to do.

Confusing to Use and Inconsistent Results
I have to be honest… I’m finding this device incredibly confusing. It feels like so much emphasis was put on analyzing the skin that they forgot to clearly explain how you’re supposed to actually use it to improve your skin. I’ve spent quite a bit of time trying to figure it out, and I’m just not getting there.I’m a professional engineer, so I’m used to deciphering complicated systems, but this has me genuinely frustrated. I’ve run the skin analysis multiple times, and the results are wildly different each time… even when I scan the exact same spot. That inconsistency makes the whole thing feel unreliable, and it’s really undermined my trust in the device overall.Right now, I’m extremely disappointed. If I suddenly have an epiphany and realize I’ve been doing something wrong, I’ll come back and update my review. But as it stands, this feels like a huge waste of money.
