Place the arm cuff at the same level as your heart.

I’d had my blood pressure taken by a nurse and it was sky high, unusually, but I was very stressed at the time as I’d had some skin cancer removed and it had become infected. She said I needed to see a doctor urgently, but I wasn’t convinced that it was a ‘normal’ situation or reading, so came straight home and started looking for a home monitor.This one seemed to be very good – based on the reviews.Being ‘Easy to use’ was the BIGGEST factor for me, as I’m not good with really complicated things! This one is certainly that. It’s brilliant: big, bold figures and colours, and very easy to use. It has a ‘memory’ function but I haven’t got to grips with that as/and I’ve just been writing the results down in a little book.I recommend it 100%, especially for older folk (like me!).PS My blood pressure’s back to normal now, so that’s a relief! I think that most people’s results are extremely likely to be higher than normal at a doctor’s surgery, as it can be quite a stressful place. Having a home monitor has taken the worry away for me. It’s something you can so easily monitor for yourself daily or weekly at home, and will alert you if there IS a problem at any time. It could help save your life. I’m so pleased I bought mine.

Really simple to use. Takes 4 AA batteries (cheap ones included ) that have lasted 2weeks so far and have used it every day. You can plug it in as well using a USB cable (included) 2 users memory saves 120 readings each. Easy to read results. Comes with a pouch to put it in. Feels and looks well made
