Good light in the dark without disturbing your sleep or night vision when you wake in the dark.
This red light night light provides a dim red light at night that does not disturb your sleep.The night light has 3 light levels. All are pretty low. I had it set to the brightest level and then turned off the white overhead light. At first it seemed too dim even on the brightest level, but once my eyes had a chance to adjust it was fine. Later when I woke up during the night, I found that I could see the room perfectly well.The light sensor that turns the light on in the dark is pretty sensitive. I noticed that even with the overhead light on, standing between the overhead and the nightlight to cast my shadow on it would trigger it.The white casing is a wide, flat profile and looks good on the wall plug.The nightlight is a 0.3w LED so it uses very little energy and does not get warm during operation.

Works well
This small nightlight works well for me. I have it plugged in along the path from my bedroom to the restroom so that when nature calls I am not awakened by a bright white light. The unit is compact in size and when plugged in, it doesn’t block access to the second receptacle on the outlet. Operation is simple. There is a three-position switch on the bottom that controls the mode. In the center, the light is off. When switched to the left, it operates in auto mode, relying on a photocell on the front to determine when to activate. In this auto mode, the emitted light varies depending on the the ambient light on the photocell. The darker the ambient light, the brighter the glow. Finally, when the switch is moved to the right, the unit it in manual mode and the brightness can be controlled via a push button on the face of the unit just above the photocell. There are three brightnesses available via the manual control. The only downside I found was that the manual button that alters the brightness did not provide an off option. That requires moving the three-position switch to the center.

Great Nightlight
I had stayed at the Moxy hotel in Phoenix and they had a night lamp with a red bulb. I turned off the other lights and it helped me calm down and go to sleep faster. However this nightlight doesn’t do it for me, however I do love it because it isn’t bright white or blue so if I get up in the middle of the night I can see but still feel sleepy and not awake like other lights.

Disappointed. The light sensor is far too sensitive, turning on with the slightest bit of diminished light. These are dimmable, however when they turn off, they reset back to the default setting of full brightness when they come back on.

Perfect Little Night Light for a Strict Sleep Routine
I really like this night light. I use it in my bathroom since every other room already has small amber lights to help me wind down for sleep. It’s convenient, the function options are great, and it fits perfectly into my whole “strict protocol for solid zzzzzz’s” setup. Highly recommend if you’re like me and need your environment dialed in to actually rest.

Works, but not sensitive enough to light in my experience
The night light that I received works correctly, but only if the room is very bright – it turns off like it’s supposed to. But not if the light in the room is a little dimmer, and I don’t mean crazy dim just less than super bright, it stays on the whole time. My hallway staircase area has a low intensity light overhead that I turn off at night, so this light stays on the whole time (and I just wanted it on at night for when I need to go downstairs).
