Fantastic product. User manual needs slight revision but does not impact the grand experience.
Love this thing… but why does the insert have a diagram that says “to ensure your device works properly, please do make sure to set up the brass striker in the correct direction”, but all the pictures in the user manual show it in the “incorrect” direction?Furthermore, half the user reviews here on Amazon show pictures of them putting it in the incorrect direction. The user manual says it should fit snugly when fitted correctly. And even more, it doesn’t fit snugly in the “correct” direction! In any case this thing is great, love the user interface, the sound, and the mode options. Just please fix the manual or the insert, whichever is the wrong direction.

Beautiful, perfect as a meditation timer
I used to use the Insight Timer app for my meditation sessions, but lately it’s been bogged down with upsell offers and extraneous features so I find myself constantly tapping through screens… all I need is a simple bell timer to bring me out of my meditations! I know cheaper timers are out there than the Pro Timer P2, but I figured if I was going to get a dedicated timer device I wanted one that uses a real bell/singing bowl, not something with recorded bells that sounds just as bad as my iPhone. This was exactly what I was looking for.I love the elegance and minimalism of the design. The materials feel high quality, particularly the brass bowl. I found the usage of the timer very intuitive – I looked at the manual once to put it together, but was easily able to figure out the navigation, settings and operation of the timer on my own. I don’t relate to the reviews that look at the bowl interface as a negative. I think users drawn to the aesthetic of this device will appreciate the absence of buttons, which would detract from the minimalist charm of its design. And despite being outwardly minimalist, I was pleasantly surprised by how many features the Pro Timer P2 offers. Aside from a meditation timer, it can also be a stopwatch, alarm clock, hourly chime, and of course a customizable Pomodoro timer. I’ve not tried Pomodoro myself but I think I will now that I have this!My only hangup is that the sound itself is a bit loud for my use case. I won’t remove a star for it, considering the timer’s other use cases may benefit from a louder sound. The sound itself is lovely, resonant and lingering, like any good singing bowl. I might try looking for a way to soften it though.Overwhelmingly positive impressions from me so far. I’ll update my review if needed, since I haven’t had it for more than a day yet, but I would recommend this timer to anyone looking to prioritize mindfulness in productivity and lifestyle.

Almost great!
Great concept, and the execution was ALMOST there. But the brass clapper on the brass bowl makes a jarring and sharp sound that I think is the opposite of what someone interested in this product is looking for. The good news: I put just a bit of hot glue on the clapper to soften the tone, and that made it so much betterProblem number two: the timer function lets you choose times in one-minute increments up to 20, and then it goes to five-minute increments. My meditation practice is 23 minutes (a minute or two of breathing to start, then 20 minutes meditation with a minute of coming out at the end), so I’d have liked to keep the one minute increments up to 60. Related to the above, a meditation mode that gives you two rings at the end would have been ideal.Battery life is great, materials are high quality. Overall a good purchase but not quite great.

really helps me stay focused
Personally… This timer has been a game changer for my ADHD focus sessions. I picked it up hoping it would help me build some structure into my work routine, and it’s done exactly that. I’ll admit, many things often help for a little while… so we’ll see how long it helps. But I do like having it and I expect to keep it in my routine for a while. Here’s what I was dealing with before – I’d been using pomodoro apps on my phone, which meant I had to keep my phone nearby and inevitably get distracted by it. Then i tried running one on my laptop, but having yet another thing popping up on screen was its own kind of distraction. The whole point of a focus timer is to help you focus, not give you one more thing to look at.What I really like about having a dedicated physical timer is that it’s completely separate from my devices. I’ve built this little ritual around it where I sit down, do a short meditation, then start the timer and switch over to my computer to actually work. My phone stays in another room the whole time. That separation has been really good for me – there’s something about having a central, tangible spot where the timer lives that makes the whole routine feel more intentional. The timer itself looks nice on my desk, it’s easy to set up and use, and the sounds it makes to signal breaks are pleasant and not jarring. Build quality feels solid too.Only thing I dont really use is the little memo board attachment. It’s a bit awkward honestly, but since it’s magnetic you can just detach it and set it aside, so it’s not a big deal at all.If you’re someone who struggles with focus and you’ve been relying on phone or laptop timers, having a standalone device that keeps you away from screens is worth trying. It’s made a noticeable difference in how i approach my work sessions

Beautiful timer
This timer looks great on my counter and is quick and useful for reminders for short running tasks and things I need to check back on. I use it often for cleaning when letting product soak in, or quick reminders to check on something cooking or warming up that I have to monitor. The sound is great, very loud but not offensive to the ear. It is the perfect size for stashing on your desk or countertop.I found myself not using the white board and pretty much have permanently put it away, but it is a nice addon for those to like to take notes to stay organized. The timer is definitely expensive, but nothing cheaper comes close to the look and functionality!

This is surprisingly elegant, well packed and sounds so lovely compared to the alternatives I considered. The UX is a little counter intuitive, it took me a couple tries to properly start a timer (in their defence I did not look at the instructions >.<). Sound rings out nice and clearly so can be heard from other parts of the house but is pleasant. Perfect for work or chore timers.

This is a beautiful pomodoro timer. The base is made out of wood and there is a brass bowl that dings when the timer goes off. There is a 1.3″ OLED screen at the top of the timer where you can select different settings from like “pomodoro”, “timer”, “alarm”, or “setup”. I’ve only been using the pomodoro and timer settings and they are completely adequate for my use. I’ve also got it set to ding at the beginning of every hour. You can select settings and change the timers but pressing down on the brass bowl and spinning it to scroll through the menus. It takes a little while to figure it out but it is pretty intiutive once you do. I thought the pomodoro setting was quite interesting as it is supposed to simulate deep work sequences with breaks in between by setting the amount of time you want to work and then the amount of time you want to take a break. I believe the original pomodoro sequence was 20 minutes of deep, concentrated work, and then 5 minutes of break, and then back to 20 minutes of deep work. You can set 8 pomodoro sequences with this timer, but it doesn’t have to be 20 minutes, it can be as long as you’d like.Inside the box you’ll even get a cute white board that can be magnetically attached to the side of the stand. The whole idea is to write down all the things you want to accomplish and then set a timer to complete them. Dry erase markers are included with the package as well. The pomodoro timer is charged with a usb cable which is also included in the box.I love this thing. It looks very elegant and not like a cheap plastic toy. It’s helped me to concentrate when I have specific tasks that need to get done, but I am having a hard time getting started. Highly recommended checking this pomodoro timer out if you want to get serious about productivity and time management. This specific pomodoro timer was funded on Kickstarter and has an official patented design. There is also a 5 year warranty on it as well.

Ordered this timer and brought it to the office with me which has been a great addition to my desk. First of all it does look pretty cool and stands out. The timer works well and is easy to use. It makes a relaxing sound which I do enjoy and helps me focus. The whiteboard is also a great thing to have as it allows me to easily write notes and have them there for me to read. It works well and cleans easily.Overall I liked it and definitely recommend it.

I purchased this for meditation. Love the aesthetic of it. It is very tricky to use but once you figure it out it’s fine. I use the pomodoro feature set at 5 min intervals for meditation. The chime is LOUD. I have a heart attack every time it goes off.

It looks really good. But my god what a faff to try and set up.You need patience, a lot of it.There are little caps that are, I guess designed to help the bowl sit of the potentiometer. When the cap is on, the bowl does not want to sit on it. It just wobbles about. Then getting to the set up. You press the bowl down to wake the screen up, release the press and then rotate the bowl very slightly to change the screen. Due to my bowl not wanting to sit/balance on the potentiometer this was very hard to do. Adding to the frustration of setting up.It would have been easier to have a button on the display to control the display and setup.I never got as far as getting the striker to knock the bowl. I did it manually and it makes a nice sound. The stick on whiteboard, guess good for setting intentions on if using for mediation. Or a reminder of what to do after you hear the gongWould I buy one, not with this level of faffiness.
