Nice study light bulb
This light has a nice tint. It doesn’t hurt my eyes or give me headaches. It’s bigger than other lightbulbs that I use in my ceiling fan. It’s a very sturdy bulb. It was smaller than I thought it would be at the base. I would recommend.

These lights are awesome.

Best light quality in any LED E12 base bulbs
These were more expensive than other brands, but made such a pleasant difference in the light from my ceiling fan. No more dingy colors in my room.

Comfortable lighting from a layman’s perspective
For clarity, I’m reviewing Sunsy’s 4000K B12 lightbulb. This is a candelabra bulb that fits in an E12 base. Mentioning this first because I see variants on the product page and don’t want to cause any confusion.Looking at the technical description here on the product page, on the manufacturer’s own website, and even on the box, it seems clear that the people behind this lightbulb put a lot of thought into creating a high CRI light.Unfortunately, I don’t have the knowledge or tools to quantitatively analyze the properties of the bulb. So here are some mostly subjective observations.- The flicker-free claim seems accurate to my untrained eyes. I have experienced eyestrain from LCD monitor flicker before, but never LED lightbulb flicker, so I can’t really tell if a flickering LED bulb would be an issue for me.- Compared with other brand lightbulbs I have that are nominally also at a 4000K white point, the color matching is good. Not exactly the same, which is probably difficult with different manufacturers having their own standards, but close enough to fit well without obvious color discrepancy. The other bulbs are A19 bulbs (with E26 base) that have a claimed 800 lumens and five toggleable white points via a switch on the bulb. The options are 2700K, 3000K, 4000K, 5000K, and 6500K. Hopefully that information can help you find a similar bulb to understand my comparison. (I’m not intentionally trying to be vague, but doing my best to avoid violating review guidelines so I’m not mentioning the specific brand.)- I’ve tried viewing various printed images (magazines, ads, snack boxes) close to this Sunsy B12 bulb and my other brand A19 bulbs, and cannot tell much of a difference in color accuracy with the high CRI. That is, both are very good to my eyes.- 265 lumens for this Sunsy B12 bulb isn’t exceedingly bright, but I feel other manufacturers frequently claim 400-600 lumens without really getting close to the claim. At least, I’ve found different bulbs from different lines of the same manufacturer to subjectively have differing brightness despite having the same amount of lumens on the box. For my specific use case, Sunsy’s bulb is not as bright as what it’s replacing in my home. Still, it feels like an upgrade because my previous bulb (size B11 with claimed 500 lumens) from a large corporate competitor had a much less pleasant white point.- As an aside, the Sunsy bulb is fairly hefty for a candelabra bulb. I’m getting 53 g on a small food scale, while my previous candelabra bulb from the large competitor is 22 g. The A19 bulb I’m using as a comparison is only 46 g too.Everything I’ve said about Sunsy’s bulb has been positive (aside from the neutral observations of overall brightness and weight), but I’m thinking of this as a 4/5 from a value perspective.I’m using the bulb in a standing lamp with both an E26 base and an E12 base (my comparisons simply involving alternating which of the lamp’s two bulbs is on in an otherwise dark room), but I think candelabra bulbs are generally used in chandeliers or other multi-bulb scenarios. I’m just not sure 20 USD for a single candelabra bulb is a good value, especially considering most people would probably need multiple candelabra bulbs to light a room.

Pleasant Color, and Flicker Free Lighting That Lives Up To Its Spec!
Recently one of our backyard chickens became ill and needed to be brought indoors for special care. Chickens do not require direct sunlight, but they do need a consistent light and dark cycle to maintain their circadian rhythm. Their eyes are also extremely sensitive to artificial lighting, especially the “flicker” commonly found in most fluorescent and some LED bulbs, so choosing the right light is important. While nursing her back to health, she needed a quiet, darker recovery space, but still required comfortable, stable lighting during the day. We set her up in a medium sized puppy playpen and hung a candelabra style fixture over the top using this bulb. After carefully reviewing the lighting specifications, this bulb met all of the criteria we were looking for. She has been completely comfortable under this light and continues to recover very well.🐥 🐥 🐓 In case anyone is wondering, her name is Venus, and that is her in the photos. She is nearly fully recovered and very happy to pose! You can clearly see the bright, neutral light shining in her pen.4000K is an excellent color temperature for both people and animals. It sits right on the border between warm and daylight, producing a neutral, natural looking glow that is easy on the eyes. The light color is very pleasant, and if more of our fixtures were compatible I would have no problem lighting much of our home with these bulbs. Compatibility seems to be our main problem. Some geek stuff:I used my old-school photography spectrometer to measure the bulb’s intensity (lux) and color temperature.** This bulb lit a 10 square foot area to an intensity of 303 lux (lx), which works out to roughly 282 lumens, and the meter read the color temperature at 4080K.** With my phone’s camera set to 240fps slow motion video, I did not detect any 120Hz or 100Hz flicker. Reviewing the footage, there was no pulsing, strobing, or horizontal flicker lines visible. It truly appears flicker free. The company provides a generous amount of technical information on the packaging, and based on what I was able to independently verify, including flicker, color temperature, and light output, everything appears fairly accurate. I have no reason to doubt the remaining specifications listed on the box. These bulbs are definitely on the expensive side, And Lifespan is not something I can speak to yet. Also, 4000K is not technically considered “daylight.” That said, this is a high quality light that performs even better than expected, just be sure to check compatibility.

A nice little light with a calming effect
I’m not going to claim to be an expert on lighting, or on the full spectrum effect for that matter, but I can say that this little light bulb gives off a nice calming white light so, therefore, gets a thumbs up. It’s a tiny bit larger and a lot heavier than a standard candelabra bulb, but it fits perfectly into the lamp base. NOTE: this particular bulb has a candelabra base! The light it gives off (see photos for comparison) is far less glaring and bright than an incandescent bulb. Consequently it doesn’t offer as much light, but the light it does produce is much more pleasant and not glaring. I haven’t been using it long enough to know if my focus has been enhanced or my mood has been balanced, but I’m believing for positive results over time!As for functionality, this bulb can be used anywhere a standard bulb can be used but with the benefit of full spectrum sunlight that it offers. It’s a small bulb at a bit of a high price (larger sunsy bulbs are just a couple of dollars more) but I find it offers a pleasing affect. After using this little bulb for a while and enjoying it’s nice calm light, I’m going to invest in a few standard bulbs for larger work areas like my kitchen and office desk.
