May not work well on tattoos and/or dark skin
Im not sure if it was the African American skin tone or tattoos or a combination of both that the watch would not read. It gave error messages basically saying to ‘attach the sensors to the skin’ then retry. I tried it on my skin (pasty white caucasian) and it worked perfectly. It seems to be a great watch, otherwise.

I bought this because it was recommended to me for keeping track of my steps etc and I’m glad I bought it!It’s working a lot better than I thought that it would, the step counter is fairly accurate, the heart monitor is relatively accurate, the clock is nice and big enough to read at a quick glance, it connected to my phone quickly and easily.I haven’t used it for music or taking photos yet but I’ll play around with those functions later.Overall I’m impressed with the watch and would definitely get another one if I needed.

I bought this product on a whim after seeing it on sale and having problems with my Fitbit’s battery and charging.Pros:Amazing Battery life, I used mine for nearly two weeks without charging, in comparison, my fitbit was getting around 2-3 days charge from a full cycle.Simplicity, it cuts out a lot of bloated content/unnecessary features (could be why the battery works better)Price, it’s well priced and worth the money, plus, there’s no hidden subscriptions on the accompanying app.The charger is a better design than Fitbit’s one, the ‘prongs’ appear way stronger and don’t appear to be susceptible to getting damaged – although I’ve only used this twice.It experiences less connectivity issues than my Fitbit, usually i just drag the screen down and within a few seconds, it’s already synced the data.Cons:Trying to identify accessories that fit this device is difficult, I think it’s a shared watch base, so there are multiple names for it.The auto-screenwake is annoying, I had to turn it off as every time I moved in my sleep, I had the screen shining in my eyes.The overall fitness tracking isn’t as good as a Fitbit, it usually thinks with my lower heart rate that I’m sleeping, so I end up with quite a large sleep figure, it can’t track some complex health items such as HRV.The standard watch strap is silicon, and for me, it was irritating my skin a lot, I have since had to purchase a nylon one.So, my recommendation would be to see what features you actually require from a smart watch, if you want the basics, then it is a very good choice, but if you’re someone who is into the intricacies of fitness and calorie counting, then I don’t think this would be as good as some other competitors.
