like the power, like the curve, didn’t like the looseness, but it’s workable.
I own, have owned, and used maybe 20 different red light products now. I picked this up to add another (what I hoped to be) strong unit. If you’re in the market for a decent panel to blast a specific spot, this will probably work for you. I’ve found I much prefer the curved style to, as I have both flat and curved units and can generally find a more comfortable position (both for my eyes and for my body around the IR unit) to use for lengths of time. It’s really beneficial to be able to move the infrared light aware from your eyes, letting you do other things while getting some IR time. It’s a DC plugin; assembly of the stand is pretty straightforward, just screw in. Power is strong for infrared units but not enough to really encompass multiple areas of the body as depicted in the product description. I tested using an irradiance meter. To reach the generally recommended irradiance levels, I have to bring the device to within a foot of my skin. This isn’t a problem as generally when using this unit i’m focusing on a specific part of my body, so just move it there. But this does mean you have to move the head of the unit around. Mine either became or was loose out of the box. Fiddling with this causes the head to droop.Over the course of a month of use; my biggest issue is the looseness with a bit of the hardware. I wouldn’t give it a perfect 5 but it’s above 4 stars.

The curved shape wraps around your body
If you are not familiar with Amazon Vine, it is basically Amazon trading free* products for honest reviews. I do my best to make my reviews honest, real and value-oriented as if I had paid for each item I receive.* These items are not totally free as Vine members pay income tax on the items they receive. I only mention this because we Viners do have some skin in the game for each item we order. Why I ordered this item: I’ve been curious about red light therapy for a while. I see these panels all over social media and figured it was time to try one out for myself. The curved design looked interesting compared to the flat panels I’ve seen everywhere.Likes:* The curved shape is rad. It wraps around your body better than a flat panel would. When I sit in front of it, the light hits more surface area at once.* Assembly was easy. No instructions in the box, but it’s pretty obvious how the pieces fit together. Took me maybe 10 minutes to get it set up.* Build quality feels good. It’s lightweight but doesn’t feel flimsy or cheap. The LED panel itself seems well made.* You can see both the red light and the near-infrared glow when it’s running. Makes it feel like you’re getting more coverage.* I was expecting to pay a lot more for something like this.No likes:* The hardware gets wonky after a few weeks. The head starts to droop and spin around.* Power feels weak when you’re trying to cover a large area.Would I pay full price for this product: YesFinal thoughts: It’s an entry-level red light panel that works. The curved design is better than flat panels I’ve tried, even with the hardware issues.

No Instructions Included
It’s difficult to review an item that provides (or claims to provide) health benefits, especially soon after purchase. If I’d be able to say anything about the promised health benefits, it would have to be after weeks or months of regular use. Given that, I’ll focus on more tangible aspects of the item.My biggest complaint is that the item came with absolutely NO INSTRUCTIONS in (or on) the box. This includes both assembly instructions and instructions for use. Perhaps the instruction sheet/booklet was just left out of my specific box. Assembly was fairly intuitive and straightforward, even without instructions. One thing I did not, however, was that the silver cylindrical screw from the stand that screws into the electrical portion of the device (the part containing the lights) would not stay tight. What this means is that the light enclosure has a tendency to spin, even when the thumb knob on the stand is fully tightened. This is more than just annoying, because the device is rectangular, and you often want it to be in a specific orientation (wider than high, or higher than wide). If the device spins, the light is now shining in a different pattern — perhaps not what you want.Use instructions were a bit less obvious. On the Amazon product page, there’s a small photo of the “control panel” on the back of the unit, and I’ve included a larger photo of it. Left-most is the power button, which you hold down for a few seconds to turn the lights on. Moving to the right, the next button has a large “M”, which presumably stands for “mode.” This cycles between “Red”, “NIR” (near infra-red), and “All” (which should really say “both”). (There are 2 sets of LEDs on the device, each of which puts out a single wavelength. The mode selects between Set 1, Set 2, or both sets being turned on. There are 3 small indicator lights to indicate which mode it’s in.)When you press the plus or minus buttons, the “PWM” (Power Mode?) and “Timer” indicator lights come on. The LED display in the center cycles from “L1” through “L5,” which seem to correspond to the brightness levels. I had a very difficult time figuring out how to change the timer from its default of 30 minutes. It turns out that you have to press the power button quickly to get it into the “timer” mode, and then the plus and minus buttons change the timer, in increments of 5 minutes, from 5-30 minutes. To power off the unit, you need to press the power button for several seconds.
