Extremely Bright and Effective
I originally bought this for my mother, but it was just too bright for her sensitive eyes (she has had cataracts and has the beginnings of macular degeneration). I will say, it is shockingly bright the first time you see it! My mom couldn’t even tolerate it being just on her periphery. So, keep that in mind if you or whomever you are considering this for, has any eye issues.That being said, I still gave it 5 stars because I decided to try it out for myself, and I actually like it a lot! I use it almost every morning and I really do believe it helps me wake up, get energized and betters my mood. I have had low energy and depression issues quite often in my life (been on medication for years), and it does seem to get worse during the winter months. This lamp has really helped reduce the frequency and intensity of those issues. Even my cat likes to lay by it when I’m using it :)I am honestly grateful that my mom could not use this lamp!Side note: After hearing how it has helped me, she now wants to try one that has lower brightness settings. I will be purchasing one for her from this brand (Verilux) in the near future.

Helpful tool for improving mood and energy.
I’m a mental health provider and have purchased several of these light boxes for clients struggling with depression, including bipolar depression and treatment resistant depression. Many of them have noticed real improvements in mood and energy when using it consistently in the morning.Over about 6 weeks, several people reported feeling more motivated and their depression screening scores improved as well. It has been a simple tool that can make a meaningful difference when used regularly.The light is bright but comfortable, easy to use, and simple to add into a morning routine. I’ve been happy with it and will continue recommending it to clients who may benefit from light therapy.

Great option during winter!
Great deal! My doctor recommended to get a happy light since winter already started, I honestly was very skeptical and did not expect much but I can tell I have felt a difference since I started using it.I normally turn it on in the morning when its still dark and it stays on while im cooking, prep lunch for my son and even when we are all together having breakfast.It’s kind of modern looking and it’s white, so that’s a plus.Love the quality, it doesn’t look or feels cheap.I think the light is bright enough, so it does it’s function.Get it!!

Good light, but stand could be better
Too early for me to know if it’s effective or not, but it’s easy to use. Giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because I find the stand design could be improved – it’s very easy to knock over. I also wish the charging cord was a bit longer. But otherwise it seems to do its job and was a good price point compared to others on the market.

What seasonal depression?
This little guy is akin to the sun itself. The aim appears to be to blast away the seasonal depression with the vigor of a star itself and boy is it bright. I am a plant myself and *need* sunlight to survive. I was skeptical of the little rectangle at first, but the amount of light it throws into every single corner of my bedroom is blindingly helpful. Just don’t look directly at it. You will never see again. My house plants are also quite happy with their own personal sun.

Just what I needed during the dark and gloomy season
This lamp is very easy to use and can easily be moved around. It looks like a tablet and does not distract when not in use. I have only had it for a few days, but am impressed by the quality. Nothing flimsy about it. As expected, 10,000 Lux is very bright, it took some trials and errors to find a spot within recommended range where I would not be tempted to look directly into the light. It is too early to tell, but I feel that my energy levels have improved having the light on for about an hour in the morning – before 10:00 am.

This has made a huge difference in my daughter’s life! She is studying ballet/ dance full time in the UK…The dreary weather difference of England from where she is from in America( and the fact that she walked to the school before light, no windows in studios, and walked home after 5pm in the winter) was getting her down. As soon as I got this for her( she used it while she puts on her makeup and eats her breakfast) she felt SO much better- happier and energetic! 😎👍🏻☀️

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Living on the West Coast of Canada we have a lot of of the rain and clouds during the winter season. This light felt like an infusion of vitamin D. I keep it on while I’m working and the results were fast. More energy to do the things I want!
